Fuente Alamo – Jaen

Fuente Alamo in Jaen province is a small village belonging to the town of Alcala la Real. Fuente Alamo in Jaen is on the slope of a small hill, which goes to the Muriano ravine. Its streets are born from the main road, from La Piquera to La Fuente, originating different streets that go up to the Cerro.

Main information

The interest for the control of the water is in the origin of Fuente Alamo in Jaen Province. The name of the village is due to it, Fuente Alamo which means “poplar fountain” as the manantial was surrounded by loads of poplars.

  • 7th October – Festivity of Virgen del Rosario is the main festivity of the Fuente Alamo in Jaen. In the evening, there is a procession of the Virgin.
  • 13th of June – Festivity of San Antonio de Padua. People enjoy the day together celebrating and at the end of the day there is also a procession of the Saint.
