Main information
Guaro is a town in Malaga province, Andalucia. The first settlement dates from the Arab period and was in the place known as Guaro el Viejo. At the foot of a tower that was part of the group of towers and castles on the Valle del Guadalhorce.

- Dia del Almendro – It is celebrated at the end of January, when the almond trees are blooming. It is a festivity all about the almond tree, its flowers and its fruit.
- Las Mayordomas – On December 7th and 8th, the traditional festivity of the Mayordomas is celebrated to honour Inmaculada Concepcion de Maria. Las Mayordomas are six girls around 14 -16 years old that are named Mayordomas de la Virgen. They are in charge of taking care of the image of the Virgen and also the ornaments during a whole year. Their charge finishes on the festivity of the Virgin.
