Freila in Granada is located in the north of the province. The town is sheltered by the remains of the old Muslim fortress from the XII-XIII centuries. From the square, the Negratin reservoir can be seen as a great interior lake, where an endless mantle of water contrasts with an extension of red and dry lands. There are still caves inhabited with their flowerpots and their white facade.

Freila in Granada is a town located in a fertile plain where olive trees, fruit trees and mulberry trees grow. However, the orchard contrasts with the dry, red soil of the semi-desert area that surrounds Freila. A beautiful natural setting full of geographical contrasts, close to the Negratin reservoir, where you can practice water sports such as canoeing or sport fishing.
